Great Beast Comics to close down

Great Beast Comics to close down
Well, this is a shame. We're big fans of UK small press publisher Great Beast Comics, and in particular the work of its two founders, Marc Ellerby and Adam Cadwell. But sadly, due to various time- and business-related reasons, the company that most notably brought us Chloe Noonan: Monster Hunter and Blood Blokes will be closing its doors in the new year.

One small piece of good news for fans (or people yet to check out anything they've done), however, is that as a result they're holding a closing down sale - you can get 25% off everything in their store for a limited time only, by using the code "SHUTITDOWN".

If you've never read Ellerby's books Ellerbisms and Chloe Noonan, we particularly recommend getting as many of them as you can afford: it's unclear as yet what the future publishing plans for these titles will be, and it would be a shame to miss out on ever being able to get the print editions (especially of Ellerbisms, one of our comics of the year back in 2012).

Great Beast also publish work by Robert Ball, Dan Berry, Warwick Johnson-Cadwell, Dan Cox, John Cei Douglas, Isabel Greenberg, John Riordan and Rachael Smith, and it's well worth checking out their catalogue while you still can. Hopefully these creators and titles will find a new home in the not-too-distant, and we salute Great Beast for their excellent work in helping and promoting up-and-coming UK comics talent.
